Ever since it’s release, this film has had much criticism, and rightly so, it was so littered with… well… nothing, there was almost nothing of value, and the plot was way too overcomplicated, so many things happening at once, at one point There were at least 5 key things happening at once and the plot-line was more of a messy squiggle with a dozen branches. Also, many of the “apps” were just useless, the snapchat, facebook, twitter, Spotify and youtube were all so useless that removing them would make the plot better.
Along with this, it had a budget of more than the GDP of Tuvalu, a small island nation, and made a huge profit by targeting little children who don’t care whether the movie has a plot, good reviews etc because they like candy crush and just dance. This is also amplified by the fact that there are so many alternatives in this day and age, who don’t brag about a dysfunctional ‘meh’ emoji (what even is a ‘meh’ emoji) but have a good, understandable plot that not just the 5-year-old toddler will like.
However, I do have to commend the voice acting and quality of animation(although they are the things that most quickly improves). Also, there are a few half-decent jokes for young kids, however, I would not recommend this film.
